Installing nvidia-390xx-utils (390.138-3) breaks dependency 'nvidia-390xx-utils=390.132'

You could also look at this: https://github.com/endeavouros-team/PKGBUILDS/blob/master/nvidia-installer-db/README.md

Or in more detail, the initial comment in file: https://github.com/endeavouros-team/PKGBUILDS/blob/master/nvidia-installer-db/nvidia-installer-update-db

And here: http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/450.57/README/supportedchips.html (look for 0f00)

I’m confused as you said that the card is only supported by the 390.xx driver yet I look at the info and it shows both the 450.xx and 390.xx
Where does it show only the 390.xx? I realize that the 450.xx hasn’t worked but Nvidia is showing that it is supported?

Go to http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/450.57/README/supportedchips.html and look for 0f00.
The 0f00 is found under the following headings and explanations:

Below are the legacy GPUs that are no longer supported in the unified driver. These GPUs will continue to be maintained through the special legacy NVIDIA GPU driver releases.
The 390.xx driver supports the following set of GPUs:

hello;in the end;he had the same bug as me with my quadro 4000

By the way, could you show the output of command:

lspci -vnn | grep "NVIDIA Corporation"

It will show the device id.

EDIT: I guess it is 06dd, right?

Okay i do see it listed under Unix Archive and that card with the id 0f00 is supported by the 390.xx driver but it also say’s that the Geforce GT 630 is supported by the 450.xx driver but gives no id numbers so how does one know?Just because it doesn’t work? I would normally just look for the most current drivers that are supported for that card which is what is listed when you look it up?

That’s the problem. One should look the details, i.e. find the device id with the command above, then look at nvidia’s site for this detailed list with a matching device id. That’s the way nvidia-installer* programs are doing it.
