Okay i have installed Deepin on bare metal. Now i need things fixed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: How do i stop it from trying to auto mount my other drives when opening an app in the dock?

There should be an option in the file manager preferences as far as I know

Do you also get the problem closing the left over icons from welcome screen and eos-log-tool and reflector simple? They have multiple instances of the Endeavour icon and won’t close.

Yep, everyone does :expressionless: Welcome to Arch Deepin

Uncheck automount. At least on my system.

deepin likes to be rebooted  btw

At least it’s not freezing anymore with Window effects on and Htop is working. I can live with the minimize maximize issue but i would like the mutitasking to work. The left over icons i could stop from misbehaving by removing those apps but @manuel would be so hurt. I can’t bring myself to do that. :grimacing:

It’s not just welcome app icons so no need to remove welcome. It is still bugged atm.

Right, many apps are stuck like that. It is surely not the applications problem.

@ricklinux, just remove the Deepin panel

I just auto-hide it and ignore it until I need something really specific. Other wise i just use plank-git and for more functionality you can just add the applications applet to the plank. It is also the only way to get some icons to dock on plank with deepin but totally doable

What do i use instead of deepin panel?

Sorry totally off topic but does anyone else see the irony in the fact that @ricklinux is from Canada and his avatar is an USA space shuttle and I am from USA and my avatar is a penguin?

I do the same recently, don’t want to see it too often

No idea, maybe one from another DE?

We don’t have any spaceships!

I balme it on poutine!

Actually I’ve never tried Poutine yet my families fast food restaurants have it since 1973!

Well - the space shuttle relies on the Canadarm to get work done! (?)
Not sure about the Penguin, though…

The best Poutine ever is at Montreal ! :fries:

You haven’t tried ours. :yum:

Back on topic (apologies), but an inxi script to check hardware detection would be useful for newbies.

It is already in the EndeavourOS repository :yum:
Here is mine:
