Installation ISO

thanks for the report!
Only an updated version with latest kernel headers and firmware

Iā€™m hopeful it works on the newer AMD GPU Ryzen 3 2200G and up as they are way newer than what i have in desktop cards on my older machines which are also Bios systems.

Thank you for that. The (Preempt) Installation ISO worked fine. There were some strange lines during the iso loading and then a grey screen. After a delay of two or three seconds I got the welcome screen with no artefacts. I checked out various items and it all seemed stable. Iā€™m not going to re-install just yet because Iā€™ve got a good system running. Iā€™ll wait until you reissue the updated ISO to all users.
My system is Asrock Deskmini A300; Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics; 8GB DDR4 2400 RAM.

@davidw Glad this worked better on your Ryzen3 2200G. I could only test it on my Radeons and they are older desktop cards but it was night and day. No artifacts.

@joekamprad I also tested this ISO on my Nvidia GTX1060 on Uefi and it boots up no problem with same grey screen and desktop loads. No artifacts no video display issues.

I also installed it into virtualbox without any apparent issues related to the iso.

hi anyone with AMD graphics here could you testing boot on latest snapshot for us?
@ricklinux @ringo @davidw

only to see if ISO boots fine no need to install.

I have tested it. See my responses above. I canā€™t see any newer ISO than your preempt one.

yes i have just build one, will be up in 20 minutes:
endeavouros-2019.10.13-x86_64.iso

we want to make sure that it is working for AMD graphics, there was some major updates on Mesa and kernel alsoā€¦

OK, Iā€™ll come back later and try it.

I have also tested it on a Radeon HD 7450 no issues.

Computer: Asrock deskmini A300; AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics.

Booted from live usb stick: no problem.
Installed in Virtualbox in efi mode: no problem. All of the required facilities seemed to work fine, including automatic resizing and copy from host to guest. It looks like a very good Xfce4 installation. Thanks.

I can confirm as @davidw has posted. I have installed it in Virtualbox with Uefi also with no issues.

thanks for testing!

Awesome! So it should work on the RX 590 and the newer Ryzen 5 3800X then.
