Installation in Asus laptop with AMD Ryzen 5 2550U cpu and AMD RX560 Dedicated Graphics

Firstly thanks to all who have contributed to this wonderful distro.

In past I have installed Arch Linux Vanilla and have run the system for about 4 years without any major issue. The manual installation takes some time. But with your installer it was a breeze. Kdos, keep up the great work.

I have a Acer Nitro laptop with AMD 2500U cpu with built in Radeon Graphics and dedicated RX560X 4 Gb graphics card. Installation went without a glitch. Iam using Plasma and mostly KDE applications. I am also using open source drivers. I presume there is no need to install any additional drivers?

I can switch graphics by prefixing with DRI_PRIME=1 program name. And can I use Menu Editor and add DRI_PRIME=1 in Environment variables to make the program always use Dedicated Graphics?? Am I right???

But the above works only in Plasma X11 and gives all sorts of errors in Plasma Wayland. Just for info.

Thanks again,
Venkatesh K L

Would be nice to know what the errors you are referring to?

What does this output show

inxi -Ga

I am sorry for deleting 2 posts could not paste the code properly sorry. Thanks for your help.
After a few updates all programs working now. The output of inxi -Ga is as follows:

Thanks again and a wonderful distro.

Looks okay. I was just wondering if both the integrated gpu and the Radeon 560 were using amdgpu which they are. I also see Wayland using radeonsi which is correct.

You can follow the arch wiki f you also want to install vulkan-radeon and set up accelerated video decoding and hardware video acceleration.

Thank you. I have already installed vulkan and working fine.
