I3-gaps "lin-key" error

Hi!
Using EOS-XFCE for a while and thats been working fine!
Got curious about i3-gaps “EOS-style” and installed from github guide.
Unfortunately the most important key (“lin-key”) gives me gdbus-error and something about “no service connected with xfce4-panel”.
Very strange but I am sure I am to blame!
Anyone with a hint on how to fix gdbus-errors?

try to disable dex in the config file
