Yep it’s a nice warm variant and makes a difference to the colder blue we’ve had for so long!
Loving the new grub theme as well!
On the topic of new backgrounds. Does anyone know when the new ISO is hitting the shelfs?
“When it’s ready”
Seriously though not much longer to wait.
Very, very soon! (Your patience wouldn’t be challenged in this case )
I like the wording of the question (Does anyone know) - much better than asking when that is!
for everyone who wants to play with the new wallpaper:
@freebird54 Agree, it is nice yes/no question.
So, @I0F as @Bryanpwo hinted the answear seems to be yes, someone knows.
On the other note the backgroung indeed looks nice.
Yes, I like it too!
Wow. Nice colors ! I can not forget that my laptop is on
I guess I am the opposite… for a few minutes I thought my system got hacked, and I don’t like the red theming… so here is the old picture.
You can use Grub Customizer to change the picture.
Yeah, I don’t like the new red, either. Such a violent, ugly colour, in my opinion. Every time I turn on my computer, I feel like the eponymous character from the Hitchcock’s movie Marnie…
Personally, I prefer a nice, deep green… Very relaxing… ZZZ
It’s easy enough for me to fix it on my end, though, so don’t mind me
Open in gimp you see it has green
. xcf file is posted
I made PKGBUILDS for the old grub theme and the old backgrounds (They work for me without any problems, but aren’t approved by the EOS Team yet, so use them at your own risk)
Grub theme: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LeSnake04/PKGBUILDS/master/grub-theme-endeavouros-classic/PKGBUILD (it replaces grub2-theme-endeavouros)
Backgrounds: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LeSnake04/PKGBUILDS/endeavouros-backgrounds-testing/endeavouros-backgrounds-classic/PKGBUILD
Just put them each of them in a empty folder, navigate to the folder in your Terminal, then run ‘makepkg’ and run yay -U endeavouros-backgrounds-classic-6.4.1-1-any.pkg.tar.zst (for backgrounds package)
or yay -U grub2-theme-endeavouros-classic-20210226-1-any.pkg.tar.zst (for grub theme)
