After updating my system a few times since my last post the amdgpu driver became more and more unstable, at times I couldn’t even run updates in a console session without the flip_done timeout, at other times it would only happen once a few minutes after first boot and then be fine for the rest of the day.
This latest kernel cmdline seemed to have restored stability for a couple of days now:
