How to use AMD P-State in Linux

I’ll be pinning that version to make sure it stays around for a while. Probably be the most stable kernel they ever manage to release.

So, for someone who’s reasonably intelligent, I can be the dumbest blonde sometimes.

Got my new 2TB for one of my laptops. Reinstalled the OS, was checking /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_driver and it wasn’t showing amd-pstate-epp.

Several reboots later, tried putting the amd-pstate=active in /etc/default/grub and rebuilding the grub initconfig. REboot, STILL no amd-pstate-epp.

So after about 15 minutes of troubleshooting, I realize…the CPU on this laptop is the INTEL Core i5-1335U. D’OH!!!
