How to switch nvidia driver from X11 to Wayland

Using Nvidia-dkms: blank screen no login sudo nano /etc/gdm/custom.conf seems to have no effect to switch from X11 to Wayland.

Any ideas? Appreciate.

I may be wrong but of the top of my head I don’t think wayland supports nvidia - or is it sway?

In any case you may benefit from below links which I found here

Good to know. It is probably possible according to the links (thanks). However, I will not indulge into it right now. I thought, it might be very very simple

It is very simple if you don’t have Nvidia. :upside_down_face:

I thought about it. :slightly_smiling_face:

That is probably a wise decision - a couple of years back I too wanted to use Wayland and due to Nvidia proprietary closed source - I sold off my nvidia card and got AMD WX7100 instead - that choice I have yet to regret.

I am running Plasma Wayland on an RTX3070, mostly OK, not many glitches (compared to recent history).
