How to revert keyboard to default without keyboard

I have accidentally removed the keyboard and mouse configs from /etc/X11/xorg.d/*(except mousepad, synapis.conf). is there a way to reset x11 back to defaults without the use of a keyboard?

This is the file (00-keyboard.conf) what I have (but changed layout to “us”):

# Read and parsed by systemd-localed. It's probably wise not to edit this file
# manually too freely.
Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "system-keyboard"
        MatchIsKeyboard "on"
        Option "XkbLayout" "us"

Hope it helps.

The problem is that I can’t even type anything since my keyboard doesn’t work (the configs are gone). I’m guessing my only option is to somehow load my storage into another OS and edit via that OS.

Boot with the USB drive (installer), mount the proper drive, then write the contents to the right place.
