How to make Urxvt my default terminal

Hi,

As I wish to use Urxvt as my terminal, I installed it and uninstall xfce4 terminal on my Xfce EndeavourOS system . However, now, the system won’t launch Urxvt but is looking for the Xfce4 terminal, which it can’t find as it was uninstalled and I have an error message.

How can I have Urxvt as the system terminal? I selected it in the default app settings but it still doesn’t launch, e.g when I try to update from the Assistant launcher…

Sorry, none of the terminal programs:
xfce4-terminal konsole gnome-terminal mate-terminal lxterminal deepin-terminal terminator qterminal alacritty tilix termite xterm kitty terminology sakura
is installed. Some features may not work as expected.

Thank you.

That program only supports specific terminals. Because every terminal uses different syntax to run a command in the terminal, it doesn’t currently support urxvt.

Also, it is always a good idea to have a backup terminal installed in the event your break your terminal somehow.

You could, however, edit /etc/eos-script-lib-yad.conf and set EOS_YAD_TERMINAL="urxvt"

Thank you.
I could change to Urxvt.

That’s a very good idea, I will reinstall the xfce4 terminal too just in case.
