How to make a virus legaly

i want to prove that you need to have anti-virus to protect linux system but i dont want to get into legal problems

But, you don’t.

That would be pointless. The belief that Linux doesn’t require anti-virus isn’t tied to the belief that it is impossible to create malware that targets Linux. Such malware already exists.

i agree but also not agree because a lot of people dont have antivirus and i want to create a malware that it will “say” you dont have antivirus install it

prove it for example you can get virus on your system using proton on wine yes is rare but is still a %

Releasing any malware/virus into the wild even a “harmless” one like this is never a good idea, it would give others something to work off for potentially worse things (as I see it).

What business is it of yours what others have on their system? Their System Their Rules. RESPECT THAT

I didn’t say you can’t get a virus on Linux. But the VAST majority of viruses are created for the Windows OS because most people use Windows worldwide. MacOs 2nd, Linux a very distant 3rd. Almost nobody bothers with creating a virus specific to Linux because, compared to Windows and MacOs, there’s nobody to target.

According to the Elastic Security 2023 Global Threat Report, Linux is now the most attacked endpoint, beating out Windows for the first time. The security company found that 54% of all malware infections were on Linux endpoints, with 39% on Windows and 6% on Mac.

i agree but is also the community who should give advice to people

What type of malware we are talking my friend? :sunglasses: I will send my BTC wallet soon…

Anyway, you can create any program you want. So grab few books, learn C, C++, write your malware, find a channel of distribution, and then either join hacker group or work for a security company.

Unless you want to write simple program, which will display some dialog on screen, then you can ask Chat GPT to do it for you. Or google “C++ gui window hello world linux”.

Have fun with your malware and rule the world!

INSANE. That’s just infecting a user’s PC with spam!

“it wouldn’t say install anti virus or your system will be broken” but a harmless virus that will tell you how to uninstall it and if you want extra security may install anti virus etc

harmless worm

lol

You funny zdislav.

for example sir for

i in {1..5}; do
 filename="redmeordie.tuxmp$i"
echo "your system is infected to delete the worm rm tuxmp" > "$filename"
 done

but complex

“harmless” as it will take some storage but it woule be tutorial how to delete it

Yes, yes, zdislav. You very funny.

Who the hell are you to tell me to install anything? I make decisions on software and apps for myself. I don’t need you, your “malware”, or anyone else suggesting or telling me how and what to install!

That’s it… I’m out before I lose my temper.
