How to install virtual keyboard and have it show up on login screen?

It seems like I already have Maliit installed, but when I clicked the virtual keyboard icon on the login screen nothing showed up…

Assuming you’re using sddm, I think the fix should be as simple as adding

InputMethod=qtvirtualkeyboard

To /etc/sddm.conf

Thank you. My “sddm.conf” seems to be blank, will adding this affect Fcitx5? I use that for Chinese input.

It will only impact the login screen (the sddm in question), so provided you aren’t using Chinese input for your password I can’t imagine there will be a conflict

I followed your instruction and add that the sddm.conf file, the virtual keyboard (very big size, see screenshot) did show up, but when I started clicking letters, it won’t enter into the password box.
