How to find out file system on thumb stick?

Hello,

I have received a USB thumb stick and would like to access the information. Unfortunately, I am not able to open ist. lsusb shows the stick but no file system is being opened.

What do I need to do?

 lsblk -o name,type,fstype

That should show you what filesystem is on it.

I only received the info on the SSD of the laptop itself, nothing on the thumb drive.

That’s odd. Are you sure the stick is properly inserted in the USB port (and both the stick and the USB port work)?
