Well, I’m not using Chrome (but ungoogled chromium) nor Gemini (but do have a Claude subscription).
There is the Claude in Chrome MCP that could be installed via the chrome webstore.
And there are plenty of uses cases where this may come in handy. Especially if you’re working on webdesign.
But I wouldn’t link it to a daily driver that holds the complete browser history, all the logins and such.
In terms of firefox based browser - those could be launched in marionette mode which could be accessed via python, not necessarily a fully fledged LLM that would record all the page impressions to the interference provider. Executing commands within the gecko engine, even headless. Which should be done with an isolated / blank profile.
There is also the browser toolbox for firefox / gecko engine that does support remote debugging, the browser toolbox.
So in terms of web development there are definitely plenty of use cases I can think of.

Interesting. I’ll have to check that out. Is it agentic? What’s cool about Gemini Live in Chrome (GLIC) is that it can actually carry out tasks for you. Not that I think people should rely on that kind of thing, but from a purely computer science standpoint I find it fascinating and absolutely do use it from time-to-time. In any case, I get my Gemini subscription for $10 through Verizon, and it includes 5TB of cloud storage in my Google account. Those are the main reasons I use Gemini over anything else. 
Well, you could wire that MCP into Claude, Claude Code, Claude Cowork as well as the beta of Claude Design and should also work with other clients that access Anthropic’s services.
So, either you let Claude tinker around with an online service (e.g. an instance of OnShape), do backend or frontend development work via Claude Code. Or task automation via CoWork. That is totally up to the end user. And as their Claude Design client is in beta, you could throw it at it, too.
I deliberately made my subscription choice simply based upon my perception that Anthropic has been the innovator behind the model context protocol.
Also, Claude-in-Chrome isn’t necessarily limited to usage of Claude agents. It does provide a sidebar chat session, indeed. As well as an authentication pipeline.
Playwright had been the go to framework in terms of testing and automation of web content, is also still around. They also adapted MCP pretty fast.
Man… no disrespect, but just… disengage. Both of you are just starting to be toxic for no other reason than you disagree on LLM usage. It’s just silly.

If I’m being entirely honest, which I always am, you’re going way above my head at this point. Lol. A basic search explained what MCP is, but I didn’t know before hand, and I don’t use AI that intensively to need all of that. Again, I use GLIC once in a blue moon, usually out of boredom or a lack of motivation for task initiation (I am severely ADHD).
More to that point: I think AI is very interesting conceptually, but I am cautious of relying on it. I’ve seen how deranged it can make impressionable people.
