How to compile proton-ge?

I want to apply a patch to proton-ge and recompile it to test something, but I cannot find any compilation instructions online, does anyone know how I can compile proton-ge from source?

Have you had a look at the build instructions?

Keep in mind, you should ideally still install this using the Arch package management system (makepkg). You might be able to adapt proton-ge-custom-bin for that.
