Wanted to update because it may have a fix for amd gpu, but found this on the arch forums some IO-wait issue https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=287343

6.4.4 had a rather big change log, so issues are not unlikely. However, I run it for about 6 hours now and no issue so far (ext 4 KDE system)
I don’t know why you need a fix for amdgpu? I have lots of amgpu hardware and have zero issues.
Edit: Using Kde and Wayland also.
Ext 4, gnome, zen 6.4.4. No issues with IO-wait.

idk there been a lot of issues since 6.3.9 Black Screen on Boot Up that Never reaches Login screen - #60 by s88
this is the patch https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/agd5f/linux/-/commit/b391007884c2a4ffd7e7e1cd45de98a7e4136739 I just updated, restarted a few times looks like it’s finally fixed, it’s been going on for a month now.
Also it boots a few seconds faster, it hanged a bit when it loaded gdm then gnome, now it’s smooth.
Was it happening with onboard amd graphics? Hybrid setup? I have an AMD RX 590 Gpu and have not ever had any issues with amdgpu.
I only have a 5700g. They changed a lot of things the last few months, the latest gen ryzen chips were overheating or something.
Yes this is onboard graphics. Like i say i have desktop with Ryzen 3800X and AMD RX 590 Gpu with no issues with amdgpu.
that was a BIOS problem, that only affected systems with RAM overclocking enabled (EXPO is already overclocking)
No kernel changes were made due to that problem.
