No, I don’t want replicate how things work in Windows in Linux. Linux distro is a complete different beast. Yes, it is fun to use Linux - you can really create something in Linux, which you can’t do in Windows - create new distros, based on whatever “mother” distro/OS. An example is here - the development of that DE and the distro was stopped 3 years ago, but is running with the newest Linux kernel and all newest apps today.
By the way, I am writing this comment from MS Edge dev for Linux from that distro.
