How Do I Backup The Files On My Home Partition Before Reinstalling?

Hello,

I’ve been using EndeavourOS for a few months now, and I’m quite happy with it. However, I initially installed it without creating a separate home partition. Now, I want to switch from GNOME to KDE Plasma, and I’ve learned that a clean install is the best way to do this. But, I don’t want to lose my data in the process.

Can you help me create a separate home partition and ensure my data is safe during the transition?

Thanks!

Best way is to save your data in your existing home partition on a seperat disk. Then reinstall and copy ypur data you want into the new home directory

I usually just select the folders I want and save them to another drive. Then move the relevant ones back
