I haven’t checked out if it supports hibernation. I use suspend only on my stationary.

My personal rule was to keep it simple in the beginning, with just a basic partition scheme. Only if I understood why people would have more complex schemes, and understood if it applied to me, would I adopt it.
An ESP partition, swap if you use that, and a home partition if you need it (larger for games and such), goes a long way.
This is not true, zram helps in memory tight situations but not having a disk backed swap during high memory pressure WILL result in a crashed or locked up system.
I use to use no swap but on more than one occasion even with 32gb ram I’ve hit these issues doing certain things. Zram only slightly delays this but zram + swap I haven’t had it happen.
