How can I change the installation location?

Oh yeah, you can’t move Linux files to an ntfs drive and expect them to work properly. You need to have a POSIX compatible filesystem, like ext4 or btrfs… ntfs just won’t cut it, it’s not meant for Linux.

The simplest solution is to delete all your ntfs partitions and in that place create an ext4 partition, using a program like Gparted. Of course, back up all important data first, as this will wipe the drive clean. But you should have a backup anyway, that should go without saying.

I understand from your other thread that you only created one partition for EOS. There are now both the system files and your home folder. I would bet the most of your data is in /home.
Better and easier than moving programs to be installed would be to give the home folder its own partition.

For the system / 30GB should be enough. The rest of the 128GB SSD you use for /home and swap.

EDIT:

I tried to switch the account type into standard from admin

Linux is not like Windows. So you don´t really need to do that.

This sums it up nicely:

Don’t try to apply Windows-style approaches to solving problems under Linux.

A couple of useful links to help in the transition from another OS to EOS:

But Windows say’s you can!
