Hibernate/suspend no longer works after update

I’ve been happily running endeavourOS since 2019 without issue. But two kernel’s ago the update broke hibernate/suspend and I don’t know where to start troubleshooting it.
Basically, it acts like it is hibernating or suspending when I choose the option but, when I open the lid, it doesn’t resume and when power is pressed it cold boots up and runs a check on the file system making it clear it crashed upon previous shutdown/suspend/hibernate attempt.
Current version is:
5.11.13-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat, 10 Apr 2021 20:47:14 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux
i3 version
This is on a X220i Stinkpad.
Any hints would be much appreciated.

Especially on such a seasoned computer, you should try the lts kernel. It will likely fix your issue instead if the latest. You can download it in akm or via terminal.

An inexcusable offense!

Urm, sorry I spoke too quickly.
It appears suspend is working but hibernate is still crashing.
Basically, closing and opening the lid suspends and starts back up fine if it has not been left long enough to hibernate I suppose.
Is there a way to find what is causing crash in logs and/or is there a way to just disable hibernate and only use suspend?
