Hi all, another Dutch user went purple

Dat vind ik dus ook :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:. Hoe lang gebruiken jullie al EndeavourOS ? @fred666 @Lemon ?

Translation: I use it for years without any problems, well no big issues jet

@moderators
Why is there no Dutch forum? EOS is started and backed by Dutch people after all so i’m wondering why the main focus is English and sub forum only German but no Dutch

This will probably explain some of it.

Translation:
Yeah I don’t really plan on that either, what I did on Windows was only internet and gaming. Nothing special just normal use really. I was more curious if you guys ever experienced that the system doesn’t reboot after a kernel/nvidia update.

I’ve been running EndeavourOS with Plasma and a GTX 1660 and the Nvidia dkms drivers since last June and so far it has been fine. You do occasionally see people posting about problems though so it’s not infallible.

Also Welcome :vulcan_salute:

Thanks for the warm welcome, how much do you update your system ? daily ? weekly ? monthly ?

I update daily, purely because I have snapshots set up and if I ever have to roll back, there will be less to roll back. Weekly is also fine but I wouldn’t leave a rolling release not updated for longer than that.

I never used it on any of my linux systems , i have 1 nvme drive in use for the os and 1 nvme drive for all my installed games. Just in case something might happen i still have my installed stuff stored somewhere else.

We had different language subs in the beginning, and Dutch was one of them. We removed them since all of them, except the German sub, were rarely used, or posts in it were answered by non-native members who used auto translations because there weren’t enough native speakers to address the issue.

There is a Dutch Telegram community, though.

Welcome @MichelN
I think EOS has a purple place in the Netherlands and you found it!
