Reset button just hard reboots the computer with out any shutdown and restart.
How do i know when im in POST?
All you have to do is start the computer and keep pressing the F2 or the delete key repeatedly but with a little pause between each press like miliseconds pause. Eventually you should figure it out when the key actually needs to be pressed. Every computer is different. Mine is the delete key or F11. I know exactly when to hit the F11 key because i pay attention on the boot. Once you know how your own hardware works it’s easy.
Alright sounds good.
edit: rebooting
All that is necessary to update the Bios is to download the latest and save it to a flash drive. Boot into the Bios settings and go to advanced and select the EZ Flash. It’s explained in the image i sent you of the manual page.
So other than not being able to boot into the Bios screen the computer is working now without a black screen? Could you also post this. When you get a chance.

And i need to reboot to go to desktop

Nvidia driver is loaded and it is rendering on the Nvidia card so this is correct. So it boots now properly to the desktop correct?
It boots fine to desktop now yea
If it black screens maybe back off and press it only 3 times. There is no reason why it should not enter the Bios set up! You just have to figure out what you’re not doing quite right. Was it ever able to enter the Bios setup before?
Never tried to on this one ( this one meaning OS ), atleast i think it would have worked
Ill try to press it less
I don’t think this has anything to do with the OS at all tbh. Saw this post btw, might be worth a try. This one too maybe.
Good one …yes i have seen this before on some boards due to the onboard WiFi which this board has!
So i should try switching ports?
Just follow the solutions in those threads, they are pretty straight forward.
Tried the methods, They did not work sadly
Try shutting it down. Unplugging it for 2 minutes. Then hold the power button on for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and start the computer and try to get into the Bios settings again.
