HELP PLEASE! im on i3 and i cant boot into bios! [ NOT SOLVED ]

( the bios)

Back in ami screen

No the flash is done in the Bios settings screen with EZ Flash which is part of the UEFI Firmware (Bios) You just need the updated Bios downloaded and extract the file if it is in that format and then save the extracted folder with the files to the usb drive. The instructions to flash the new Bios i posted the image explaining it in a previous post.

Edit: Yes it is in a zip format as i just checked. So when you download the latest bios file you have to extract it first and then save the extracted files which usually are in it’s own folder to the usb.

Well i have stuff on a usb drive and i dont have anyway to wipe it without going out of bios to desktop

It’s not the USB live ISO of endeavour? Just a normal usb that would be fat32.

Edit: It’s fine to have other files on it. When you go to run EZ flash it requires you to click and browse to the folder you saved on the usb that has the updated Bios files in it.

I only have one usb stick and i think it has pop os on it

Alright however, how do i get the bios on the usb without desktop

I think you need a usb that is fat32. It’s not going to work i don’t think with that PopOS live ISO.

How do i check if the usb is fat32?
Edit: ill google this one second

You can use gparted to check.

Edit: If you have to you could format the PopOS usb with fat32 using gparted. Just make sure you select the right drive to format. Gparted will show all your drives on the computer so you need to use the drop down box top right to select the live usb that you want to format with fat32.

I think i have a usb with fat? I used my mac to erase and format with “MS-DOS(FAT)”

Okay you can see if that works.
Edit: Also i downloaded the latest bios and when you extract it. it is not in a folder. It is a single file.

I dont know if the erase worked however i think its on fat32

Just download the bios onto the drive?

I’m not sure if you can keep it in zip format. I always extract the file.

If you are booted to the desktop yes you can download the file to your computer. Then extract the file as it is in zip format. Then copy the extracted file to the usb.

Edit: Or download it to the usb and extract it. It doesn’t matter. What ever works for you.

Should i not do the steps on the mac or should i boot my pc to desktop

Sure you can if you want.

I download VER 1701?

Yes that is the one.
