Although a lot of users talk about baloo i don’t really have an issue with it on my system. I have it enabled but again i don’t use my computer like a lot of others do. 
Unless i have an issue with it. I’ll leave it enabled.

No fortunately I’m not doing snapshots, I use a command I found which uses “dd” and zip to manually make an image of my OS partition (during a live boot) at various stages of installation, so I can always revert to the previous image if anything goes wrong. In practice I can’t remember the last time I had to revert, most of my catastrophic issues have been the dual boot getting destroyed which that doesn’t help with.
