I’m thinking of buying, but I am not open to playing without mods. Has anyone played it and moded it? I have Steam installed via flatpak if that matters.
I had a blast with how easy modding some older games like Jade Empire was where I would just drop a file into a folder which already existed in the game. I also had an easy time modding BG3. I never moded prior to very recently, now I don’t think I can stop. I feel like many games are unfinished and have not even the bare minimum. I used to work in game dev, and know the type working there, which further doesn’t surprise me - for many if not most it is just a job they don’t care much about. Modding comes from passion and I love it.

Playing modded Witcher 3 for a few months now; just finished Heart of Stone and about to start Blood and Wine. Also played other games modded like Dragon Age or Mass Effect.

I played a lot of games in Linux and it’s working great. Jedi Survivor runs better on linux then it ever did on windows. Crysis remastered (1,2 and 3) runs great to. High settings and fps between 125-150. Halo the masterchief collection runs great too.
Currently playing a game from the year 2000 (Starship Troopers Terran Ascendancy).
I play mostly singleplayer games.

I mod a lot of the games I play, though haven’t tried the Witcher 3 on this system yet.
Valheim and a few others just require manual installation (usually drag & drop files), but otherwise I’ve had good luck with running Vortex through SteamTinkerLaunch
