Grub shows error: no device specified for hibernation

I have no words how did I not know that, I get easily confused. I should really start reading things with effort, let me remove the second line and do it correctly then update grub.

Merge the values in one line, I suppose. Or you"ll start again… :laughing:

Not odd at all. It uses the 2nd (to be deleted) line at the end of the file…
But there is no resume… :wink: which is in the 1st line.

This might sound dumb, but what do you mean by merge the values in one line not insanely good with English. Can you show me what you mean by that?

I am getting old. Please…

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="acpi_osi=! acpi_osi='Windows 2009' quiet splash resume=UUID=f13268f2-7920-4ce1-866f-b5ecc36ddb5b loglevel=3 nowatchdog nvme_load=YES"

Not sure if I follow.

What I think is odd is that grub-mkconfig takes the values in /etc/default/grub with the two lines and yet produces a correct boot line. No resume in the boot command line. Or anywhwere in grub.cfg

I might be misunderstanding though.

Because it discards the 1st line, so there is no error.
Grub does not add the two lines together.
Grub does not add the two lines together.
Grub does not add the two lines together.
Grub does not add the two lines together.
:rofl:
