I figured I was going to do the same thing, but it would have just left me with Pacman wanting to update the kernel and systemd after restoring. Since al that is happening is the boot nag (with no functional impact), I can wait for a fix. I figure the Linux kernel is at most a day or so away from an update. Maybe that will fix it…
Finally getting some more comments on the Arch bug. Looking like it could be fixed in due time.
Issue resolved with systemd upgrade earlier today. Linux kernel and LTS kernel also upgraded. I feel like I have a new computer today, LOL.
