Gparted cant add free space to partition

Hi again

I have this situation here

and i want to add the not allocated space in the middle to the right partition, but cant find how in gparted. Every idea is welcome.

Click on the the partition on the left and select resize.

You can only do that with the partition on the left. It won’t work with the partition on the right.

Huuuuhh…in gparted under “partition” there is “resize/move”, but move does not work, or better: there is no “move option” to choose.

Hmm, if i boot from a live-usb and start gparted within, will there be the move option? So i can move the EOS partition to the left and then resize to the right?

Yeah, if you are trying to change the partition on the right, you can’t because it is mounted.

If you boot off the live ISO you can move the partition to the left and then expand it.

It works wonderful

I started from ISO, opend gparted and there in the graphical interface i could “resize” to the left - but in real gparted moved the partition to the left and then resized to the right in one go :ok_hand:
Now it looks this (and already booted into eos and write here). Thx for help.
