Hi all!
I have no idea where to talk about this so I am trying here.
Gorky Zero: Beyond Honor is my childhood game, which I’ve tried to play after switching to Linux. The game, when loaded into a level, renders nothing besides the UI elements. This is an AMD GPU issue rather than Linux, as it used to work on my 3080 before I switched to 9070 XT.
This is a very old game from 2004 and it’s using OpenGL API. From my research on this, AMD GPUs or AMD drivers don’t play well with OpenGL games from that era, or at least some of them. The sequel for this works flawlessly.
This might be a very long shot, seeing that it’s an old and obscure game, but I was wondering if anyone has similar issues with any old games on AMD graphics cards. I was thinking of maybe making a report on this on mesa’s gitlab as they work on OpenGL .
