PS: Don’t feel like creating another topic, and since their monopoly status is causing this, it’s related. :person_shrugging:

I know a guy that pays these fees because he’s a Formula 1 & Euro Racing fiend but jeeez that’s a lot of dough and he likes their “cable-ish” (Ars’ word here but I love it) product :face_vomiting:.
To me it’s mediocre pay-programming but all subjective at the end of day I suppose.

I will never voluntarily give alphabet my home address, bank acct, credit card info, and phone for any reason whatsoever. That’s ludricous and the def. of insanity to me. Most of the population is like “why not?” so I realize I’m odd…

Here’s a question: why would you pay YouTube for TV when you can watch freaking YouTube?

Because YouTubeTV and YouTube are two completely different things. YouTube is … well… YouTube. We all know it. YouTubeTV is like cable TV. LIVE Local channels - in the U.S. that would be ABC, NBC, FOX and local-specific channels to where you live. As well as many other channels delivering all kinds of LIVE content. I subscribe and love it.

Fair enough. I personally don’t watch TV, so I wouldn’t have a need for something like this.
