I have Gnome 41.x since two or three days - I’m a testing addict - and all is working well. It was worth the wait, even if it was long in the end.
Dash-to-Panel got just updated to version 45 for Gnome 41.
It can be installed the OFFICIAL
way from:
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1160/dash-to-panel/
It just kindly replaced my git version that I had un-orthodoxically installed before without breaking NADA. On Arch, BTW not LFS! That one I use only from TTY
Just updated my rig to gnome 41! It seems way faster. Or perhaps it’s just psychological effect of updating my system
I just had to see if it was actually here so i installed it in VM so it won’t infect my kde!
Flamshot on Xorg seems to be working as it is supposed to do.
Perhaps something to do with xorg-xwayland that got updated too lately?

I suspect it’s down to tightening of permissions under Wayland, e.g. things like screensharing need to go through a particular dbus API now.
Has flameshot ever worked under wayland?
It used to, I used it with GNOME 40.5.
It broke with the [gnome-staging] packages in the OP, hence I suspect Mutter.
Oh sure, your girl friends (wink wink) computer. Lol. I will wait a couple weeks to see what the community finds before updating my daily driver.
I’m using Firejail sandbox applications so this sometimes breaks integrations.
I use flameshot daily as i write documentation. I’ve been on Wayland for maybe 1.5 years and flameshot had some weird breaks in the tool bar after launching. I believe it got fixed earlier this year.
More here in a new bug.
I’m used to flameshot breaking, I had issues with it on x11 too this year. When it happened I downgraded it to the latest working version and used that version til the new one was fixed.
That is strange, I use flameshot almost every day on X11 and I never had any breakage this year. Was this on EndeavourOS?
That was not on EOS, but Manjaro.
I wonder if that was Manjaro specific or if I just didn’t update during the time it was an issue.
aur with -Qua?
