Github Question, newbie here :-)

I’m looking to install Ungoogled-Chromium, I use the package manager and i click build & 2 hours later it still says Building ungoogled-chromium. I know theirs another way to install it via Github in terminal, correct?

So i do a git clone in my terminal then I cd to the directory using cd ungoogled-chromium/ then do a makepkg -si & I get this ==> ERROR: PKGBUILD does not exist. So i do a ls in the directory and sure enough there is no PKGBUILD which would explain why the package manager was building for 2 hours lol.

My question is, has anyone installed this version of Chromium & where else could i get it?

Actually, ungoogled-chromium can take 2+ hours to build depending on your hardware. That is fairly normal. You probably should have let it finish.

There are binaries available in the archlinuxcn repo but you should be aware there are some very real risks in using 3rd party repos.

What would be the correct command to remove the folder in terminal then? I mean i could just right click and delete i suppose lol. :grinning:

rm -rf /path/to/folder/foldername

Just don’t put the wrong thing in foldername
