General Question : Youtube Pausing with Proton/Wine Game Launch

Hello everyone,

I’m new here, so if I make any mistakes, I apologize in advance.

I’m using EndeavourOS with the pacman version of Steam and Firefox. Whenever I launch a Proton game, YouTube pauses and won’t play again until the game is closed. I tried searching the forums and online but couldn’t find anything relevant.

I’m not sure where to start troubleshooting this issue. Does anyone have any ideas? My system specs are listed below. Let me know if you need more information or have suggestions. Thanks!

PS: Going offline now, so will leave a tip that may or may not help. Run the following command, or do it through your file manager, reboot, then test for the issue again.

mv .local/state/wireplumber .local/state/wireplumber-bkp

It simply renames the sound settings folder. When your computer reboots, it will recreate the folder with default settings. This often times fixes issues with sound.
