For a Thinkpad E14 (Ryzen5) external drive (also) runs on Linux - on EOS?

hi there - good day, we run a Leonvo Thinkpad E14 with Ryzen 5 cpu

this notebook has got no external drive - we want to buy one. What do we need to take care - that the external drive (also) runs on Linux - on EOS?

do you have any recommendation - any tipp which one to choose?

pretty much any COMPUTER drive should be fine. Most will come preformatted to NTFS. If you plan on using the Drive for only Linux you may wish to format the drive to a more Linux File System like ext4.

I would say if you get a mechanical external drive then you want one with a higher rpm (7200) is the lest I would go.
