Firefox crashing on exit after update to Wayland 1.22

If you’re running Wayland on KDE Plasma, you may find that Firefox reports that it has crashed upon exit, following the update to Wayland 1.22. If so, you’re not the only one, and the good news is that it appears to be (according to my inexpert understanding) Firefox interpreting a Wayland warning as a crash, rather than any data loss :sweat_smile:

I am running wayland and Plasma - I have never had such incidents.

Good for you :+1: I have only experienced this after the update to Wayland 1.22 yesterday, and as the bug report shows, I am not the only one.

Does it crash on X?

If not, then the solution should be obvious… :rofl:

I don’t use Wayland so it doesn’t affect my KDE. :laughing:

This minor issue is fixed for me now with the updated Mesa 23.0.2-2 that hit the Arch repos today :smiley:
