done that adding it before cinnamon on the list… not sure if it could happen that still cinnamon will ghet installed before… in cases… we have the packages sorted alphabethical also… nice to review… but may bad fpor pacman… and as in this case for procedures…
the ycvan both be installed side by side… so if cinnon package call for xdg-desktop-portal-impl it will still install the gnopme one ? to omit this xdg-desktop-portal-gtk must be explicitly installed before cinnamon package?
Since we install packages all at the time, the order shouldn’t matter. It matters in the case above because he using user_pkglist that installs packages one at a time.
My theory would be that adding xdg-desktop-portal-gtk to the Cinnamon packages should solve the issue.

fresh install added xdg-desktop-portal-gtk at the end of the packages list for cinnamon in netinstall.yaml file.
may worth a hotfix?
i also noticed some slowdown on firefox lately, will be necessary to re-install eos in the future to fix the issue ? currently i am using a user.js file which makes it a bit faster and also a tweak for smooth scrolling
