File with all my ssid

I am trying to discover and connect to wifi via terminal.
is there a file that has a list of all the ssid the laptop is connected too? Where?
Can I simply add the new ssid to that file?
thanks

it would be helpful if you write which software you use for the connection. there are a few.

if you use the NetworkManager for your connections, then look in the following path /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections. there should be a separate file for each SSID you connected to.

Edit:
The following link explains how to search for and connect to networks. it’s easy.

If you are using network manager you can run nmtui and make the connection without having to edit any files.

interesting tool, never used it. I used only wifi-menu, iwd or the good old wpa_supplicant.
