Hello ;
I like this distro very much : fast and easy to use.
I have a i3-4010u Lenovo (1366*768) laptop for web usage (mail, youtueb, etc…)
I first used default XFCE desktop and went to LXDE since XFCE is no longer the default one.
I found LXDE more fast than XFCE (start, launch apps) and now wondering if there is a faster one ?
I dont find LXDE very convenient (cant define the steps for screen lightning as well as sound, confirmation fir shut down, etc) ; but it works like a charme
Will there be an OPENBOX official version of ENDEAVOUROS ; focused on web usage it should be very interesting.
If Openbox also make Mabox compete. Ah, I should have used code words. This laptop is not bad at all.
Tried [Arco Openbox ] Installation is not so fast as Eos
(https://sourceforge.net/projects/arcolinux/files/ArcoLinuxD/)
It is full-fledged.
Arco seems to be more aesthetic out of the box but who knows?
Edit next level:
Look and step forward: Install EOS without DE and install nice and sexy Hyprland
You won’t turn back to X11 as @Brtza wrote not long ago.
If I was able to do it you also can.
I don’t see the big resource requirements of it. (core1 out of 4 runs at 90% though)
On ARM at least, with lxqt upon the first boot, a dialog comes up asking if the user wants to use
Openbox or Kwin. I prefer Kwin but that’s just a matter of preference, both work good.
You are right, I formely tried MABOX Linux based on MANJARO. MABOX is a lot of customisation.
My wish is a fast arch distro ; I dont realy need to use a desktop environnement since I only use web browser and sometimes file manager
