AI at it’s best.
Isn’t it funny that this is posted on a google-service?
I know, right? The absolute irony.
To op, what’s the video about exactly? I don’t know if I want to watch Mutahar commentary doom and gloom stuff.
I thought it was too funny to get much out of it, but it prove me correct to think AI is .
EDIT: Even had a lot of laughs.
I think they are late, Social Media did that
With the U.S. anti-trust/monopoly lawsuit going on here in the states, the government want Google to sell off YouTube, Gmail, and Google Search (or split them into separate companies). One can hope.
- I must admit that I am one who really does love YouTube.
There are certain things i like about Youtube, Gmail and Gogle search but i must admit there is a lot that I do not like, agree with or support. But the only thing i can do is not use them. Other than that I don’t have a lot of control over what they are doing good or bad.
if gov succeeds and splinters ytube, gmail, or search…who would notice and what would change?
nothing will be FOSS, nothing would be privacy conscious or best-interests focused, or even real, and nothing will change. The odds of all three of these services getting worse is like 1000%.
Me too. I use alternatives (freetube, ytfzf, etc) most of the time but they don’t always find the deep cuts or musically obscure stuff I desire, i.e. the scraper’s results are not as good as using YT itself.
Sadly, these methods (along with NewPipe on Android) for accessing YouTube are becoming problematic, with recent changes to YouTube blocking age restricted content if not signed-in.
The only real way around that, is an alternative platform, and the only way those will gain competitive traction for creators, is if the prospective audience actually uses them en masse. I appreciate the alternatives, but I don’t see widespread adoption occurring so long as the masses remain content signing in to Google and using YouTube, which I suspect remains the case.
agree completely. thought we’d be there by now…
It will be hard to bring creators and the audiences out of YouTube. Even if YouTube does a lot of dumb stuff, and they do, switching would require breaking the catch-22 situation we are currently in. How would that happen is unclear to me and it seems it is unclear to the creators of these alternatives platforms too.
Everytime u think they’ve gone too far nothing changes.
They’re deleting entire popular channels for bs reasons now, like mxr mods, loved that fkin channel, it’s gone, goolag deleted them for basically invented reasons.
I cannot go back and watch their old vids, it’s just been deleted.
You confused current search engines with social media.
Your confused in thinking I mean currently. The internet has been dead for a while now. Now its a corporate owned Government ruled spyware application.
Same. I hate Google, but I do love YT and have a YT Premium account, mostly for the YouTube Music Premium, but having no ads on YT is a really nice bonus, esp given how much YT I watch in any given day.
I got blocked by YT, best ever gift from YT.
I discovered Freetube which allows to save playlists, keeps track of history and a time marker to continue watching a video where I left off.
No login, no ads ofc, no ability to comment either.
No more tons of open tabs to keep track of what I wanted to watch.
AGAIN not even remotely accurate.
Your Free to be wrong but please choose someone else to play your games with.
My opinion is that Facebook and Google already control the Internet and have dominance over the rules and have been getting away with it for years. There isn’t enough oversight and laws to stop them. This is a big problem that we as consumers have because we aren’t given a choice. They seem to make up the rules and expect everyone to follow. I don’t believe that is the way it should be and new rules and new laws need to be implemented to reign them in. Obviously they aren’t the only ones we have to worry about either. There are many other social media platforms and corporations with AI that is now infecting the Internet at a rapid pace that will cause even more harm to our ability to have a quality Internet access and service. It’s disgusting.
I dont like videos like this. The author is just too excited. The voice pitch is uncomfortable. The speed he is talking is too fast. And he is too loud. Not to mention the prediction of dooms day. There are several others on youtube with a similar “style”. This is not for me.
