Visually, it seems to me, much more attractive in comparison with other clients. However, the management capabilities are much inferior to Cantata.
But while this is a beta version, I hope the project will develop.

Cool. All GUI apps beside Cantata where always buggy for me, but that one looks very promising.
PS: If you’re using a plasma desktop, I just updated my widget this week after a while. Maybe it’s something for you. Search for “mpd widget” in the widget installer window.
Most often I use Quimup, which is a simple and very “light” client. I haven’t seen any bugs.
I use Cantata if I want to get some additional information, or just for a change ![]()
I tried Ymuse, but somehow I didn’t make friends with it at all ![]()
I will definitely get acquainted with your widget, but a little later. Thanks ![]()
I like the gnome look of the GUI which, in your link, looks incredibly versatile.
My auditioning of Music Players the last 1 year has been a depressing journey as “shuffle” and “random” settings are failures on all of them…duplicates within the first 40 minutes of listening. (Tauon lasted 3 hours before it succumbed but it is not as easy on the eyes as others).
next on deck: Euphonica. Thanks for the steer
I’ll be interested to see how this develops.
Great music choice, BTW. Clearly a person of taste.

Just curious, in what ways?
For example, all tracks in the current playlist are just a list, without grouping by albums. In Cantata, tracks are grouped by album, indicating the playback time for each. I can click on the album title and delete the entire album from the playlist at once, rather than deleting each track individually.
Having played with it a little bit more the groundwork exists. The Recent section is nice, maybe I steal that. ![]()
But here’s why it’s not sticking with me:
But then, I’m also opinionated. I will let it cook for another year and check again.
