System Upadate using YAY haven’t show any error.
Yes I have the same error when I tried it just now, but I always only use the ranked mirrors option, so probably the rate mirrors option is not that relevant. Anyway I think it is not a big problem for updating the system, for now just use the ranked mirrors option I would say.
Install rate-mirrors (sudo pacman -S rate-mirrors).

Fixed in welcome version 25.10.3-1.
rate-mirrors is one of the many mirror ranking apps available. A matter of taste which one(s) to use. Traditionally we’ve had reflector (including the GUI version reflector-simple) and eos-rankmirrors.
However, Welcome supports also certain others like rate-mirrors and rami once they are installed.
