Eos-update question

I can’t seem to find any information about eos-update performing a snapshot before installing updates?

I’d like to have eos-update create a snapshot and then use grub-btrfs to make recovering easier.

Do I need to manually create a snapshot prior to running eos-update?

The way you typically do that is with a pacman/alpm hook. That way it will work no matter which updater you use.

If you use snapper, there is package called snap-pac which will add the hook for you. There is something similar for timeshift called timeshift-autosnap.

timeshift-autosnap is exactly what I am looking for.

Thank you ! ! ! ! !
