Are you using qt5ct/qt6ct by any chance?
Someone recently reported an issue with newer versions of qt5ct and eos-quickstart.
Yes, I do (both).
Thanks for the tip. So I changed my /etc/environment from
QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct
#QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=kvantum
to
#QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct
QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=kvantum
It solves the issue.
Then you could mark this thread as “solved”, by clicking on “Solution” under the post that helped you most, solving the issue you had. - Thanks.
I did some further testing. It seems to be an issue the latest version of qt6ct
. It isn’t only eos-quickstart that crashes. Certain other qt6 tools also dump core. Downgrading qt6ct
solves the issue.
Interestingly, changing the qt6ct theme also seems to resolve the issue.
