EOS-Mirrorlist pacnew question

I just want to make sure. In the update appeared as I remember correctly eos-mirrorlist pacnew and I did an overwrite.

The update via yay command works , so I understand that I have everything right ?

I apologize for my poor english

In the case of mirrorlists, you may get away with outright overwriting of the old ones. You might need to refresh/rank the servers if you encounter issues like slow downloads etc.

In other cases, for example if you get a pacman.conf.pacnew, you might want to compare the .pacnew file with your old/current config file to see if there are any new config options in the new file that you want to add to the current one. By simply overwriting in this case, you will lose your modifications.

Manual merge should be easy with command

sudo meld /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist.pacnew /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist

but in case of eos mirrorlist simply overwriting the old with the pacnew should be OK usually.
