Endeavour OS won’t boot from previous grub install that detects it, but will from the install the installer created

i’ve just installed Endeavour OS and ran into this issue im having in which i can boot endeavour just fine from the grub bootloader it installed, but upon trying to boot from the one i previously installed and have been using im met with this

i suppose this could’ve been very easily avoided, i’m not entirely sure why i chose to install grub knowing i wanted to use my existing grub install. i guess i rationalized that id rather be safe and have a way to boot it provided i did something wrong and my existing grub couldn’t detect it, but that’s neither here nor there

Your old grub install is probably pointing to an invalid grub.cfg. Is it something you are using with another distro?

I am using it with an Ubuntu install and occasionally boot windows from it. coincidentally i have previously installed endeavour os before but the response from update-grub seems as though it is recognizing my current install
