- The Netscape, IE, ICQ and RealPlayer buttons at the bottom of the page
The only thing missing for authenticity, was the page didn’t take an inexplicably long time to load, like it would have on dial-up, with each image progressively loading over a period of about 2 minutes 
A phone call with the typical beeping sounds you used to hear back then while you were connecting with the modem 
Yay, Netscape was the first thing I ever downloaded. It took me a week. Sometimes my impatient wife had to make a phone call. I felt like a super hacker nerd something
