Does EndeavourOS throttle performance by default when laptop is not charging to help conserve battery, especially with the KDE edition?

I don’t have access to Endeavor from where I am right now but it is easy enough to check for yourself. Take a look and see if tlp is running.

TLP is enabled per default: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/TLP

TLP comes with a default configuration already optimized for battery life, so you may just install and forget it. Nevertheless TLP is highly customizable to fulfill your specific requirements.

so we only have default settings from /etc/tlp.conf (shipped with the package) nothing extra is configured…
