I have downloaded discord via the normal method (yay -S discord) and everything pretty much works normally. However, the top bar of the application window remains, instead of integrating into it like in firefox for example. After a lot of fiddling in settings etc, I cannot figure out a way to make this work and it seems discord’s dev interface has been removed for the pacman version at least.
For context I am relatively new to linux and am using KDE plasma. I managed to do an option to remove the top bar but it also made resizing the window impossible (remove titlebar and frame)
I also would like it if discord showed notification badges but that seems like something I can’t do with my current taskbar setup (pretty similar to windows, planned to change once I know the OS better)
If anyone could provide some help, that would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry, but this is tooo funny Looks like Discord added their own titlebar buttons, same thing happens to me
You can disable the titlebar like this:
Go to Settings-> Colors & Themes-> Window Decorations->(Your decoration, most likely Breeze) Edit button-> Window-Specific Overrides-> Add->Detect Window Properties
and then click on Discord window. Check the Hide window titlebar checkbox. Click OK and then on Apply.
sorry for not responding, but yeah I did eventually find that. To be honest I prefer having a little less vertical space to having to manually move it around and being unable to drag it out from fullscreen.
